8 Reasons Why You Should Try Reiki

[digg-reddit-me] Reiki is an ancient Japanese method of healing, founded by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s. This form of treatment has been used for nearly 100 years. A practitioner using Reiki will place their hands above or on the patient and the practitioner will channel energy through their hands to their subject to cure illnesses. Sounds a bit crazy, right? Well here are some reasons you should check Reiki out:

  1. Reiki is a combination of two words. ‘Rei’ translates to “supernatural force”, and ‘Ki’ means “energy”. Unlike traditional medicine and practices Reiki does not use drugs.
  2. The goal of Reiki isn’t always to cure a disabling illness, but also to help keep our mind unclogged, allowing us to accept new ideas.
  3. The mood and treatments cast by Reiki promote increasing inner peace, as well as personal growth and emotional stability.
  4. Have a slight case of writer’s or artist’s block? Reiki can be used to help stimulate your creativity.
  5. Problems Reiki has been used to treat include light, chronic pains, insomnia, self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, and phobias.
  6. If you are receiving medical treatment for anything, Reiki can be used in conjunction without the fear of side effects.
  7. Reiki sessions can give you a boost in vitality and energy, leaving you refreshed and more aware once the practitioner has done his work.
  8. Those that have received Reiki treatment have praised it, saying that it was one of the most relaxing experiences they’ve ever had.

Whether or not Reiki has the power to heal broken bones or not, it seems like a wonderful treatment, especially for those stressed beyond their limits. Reiki may be a way to clear your mind.

Interesting….I am in favor of anything that uses relaxation rather than drugs, not that I’m opposed to drugs, used correctly. Thanks. I will check out your site’s other info as well as do some more research on Reiki.
